Rider Dies after Crashing on 80 Freeway and Highway 101 Connector and Falling onto City Streets
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (September 15, 2019) – A motorcyclist was killed after crashing his bike on the westbound 80 Freeway connector to northbound Highway 101 in San Francisco.
The crash happened early Sunday morning at 1:37 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials said the motorcyclist went over a railing for unknown reasons and landed on city streets. The bike remained on the highway. Arriving units pronounced the rider dead at the scene.
A coroner’s personnel was called to the site to pick up the victim’s remains.
There are no major closures to freeways or city streets at this time, the CHP said. The crash remains under investigation.
