Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on 210 Freeway at Hill Avenue [PASADENA, CA]

Fatal Motorcycle Crash on 210 Freeway in Pasadena

 
PASADENA, CA (July 16, 2019) – A motorcyclist was killed in a traffic crash Tuesday afternoon on 210 Freeway, near Hill Avenue.
 
The collision happened around 12:32 p.m., on westbound 210 Freeway near the Hill Avenue exit. First responders arrived to the area shortly after.
 
A male motorcyclist was allegedly splitting lanes between the left and carpool lane when the bike eventually collided with a Volkswagen Beetle. The impact ejected the rider onto the roadway, where he was struck by a westbound cement truck, CHP officials said.
 
The rider was pronounced dead at the scene as a result of the impact. However, his identity was not immediately available.
 
All westbound lanes of the freeway were temporarily closed after the crash and a SigAlert was issued in the area. All lanes were reopened by 3:30 p.m.
