Rider Dies in Morning Crash on 15 Freeway in Jurupa Valley

 
JURUPA VALLEY, CA (August 30, 2019) – A motorcyclist was killed in the crash Friday morning in Jurupa Valley, CHP officials said.
 
The crash happened around 5:53 a.m. on southbound 15 Freeway, just west of 60 Freeway.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a motorcycle collided with a car for unknown reasons. The impact sent the rider down on the roadway.
 
CalFire arrived and found the bike wrapped around the guardrail. Paramedics pronounced the rider dead at the scene.
 
Officials closed the southbound 15 Freeway connecting to the westbound 60 Freeway for about two hours while crews cleared the scene.
 
Further details, including the identity of the victim, were not immediately available. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
