Motorcyclist Killed in Crash at Barton Road and Douglas Boulevard [GRANITE BAY, CA]

Rider Dies after Crash with Pickup Truck on Barton Road in Granite Bay

 
GRANITE BAY, CA (October 12, 2019) – A motorcyclist was killed in a traffic collision Saturday morning in Granite Bay, authorities said.
 
The collision happened just before 10:00 a.m. at the intersection of Barton Road and Douglas Boulevard.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a red Yamaha motorcycle collided with a Chevrolet Silverado 2500 for unknown reasons. The impact sent the motorcycle down on the ground and caused front-end damage on the pickup truck.
 
A retired firefighter on scene performed CPR to the motorcyclist. Sadly, the rider did not survive and was pronounced dead.
 
Both the motorcycle and pickup truck were towed away from the crash site.
 
No identifying information is being released at this time. The crash remains under investigation.
