28-Year-Old Male Fatally Struck in Motorcycle Crash on Highway 1 in Moss Landing

MOSS LANDING, CA (January 17, 2020) – A 28-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle collision on Highway 1 Sunday afternoon.

According to reports, a motorcyclist pulled off the side of northbound Highway 1 in attempt to make a U-turn onto the north side. As he accelerated, a large cargo truck struck him.

The male rider was ejected from his bike as a result of the impact. He was immediately transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment of life-threatening injuries. However, he later died at Natividad Hospital.

At this time, no arrests have been made and alcohol and drugs do not appear to be factors in the collision.

The surrounding area was closed off for a brief time while crews worked on investigating the scene. No identities have been given to the public at this time. More details will be released once available.
