Motorcycle Rider Fatally Injured in Collision with Car on Barona Indian Reservation
RAMONA, CA (October 20, 2018) – A motorcyclist was killed Saturday afternoon following a crash on Wildcat Canyon Road. The identity of the deceased victim is being withheld, pending notification of next of kin.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident took place at about 1:30 PM. For unknown reasons, a motorcycle was hit by a Ford sedan on the Barona Indian Reservation.
Passersby rushed to the scene and were able to pull the motorcyclist out from underneath the car. Unfortunately, the biker succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders. Meanwhile, the driver of the Ford remained on site and cooperated with investigators.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the events that led to the fatal crash and to identify possible contributing factors. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
