27-Year-Old Motorcyclist Dies after Crash on Summit Valley Road in Hesperia

Hesperia, CA (September 28, 2022) – Early Wednesday morning, a 27-year-old male motorcyclist from Hesperia died in a crash on Summit Valley Road.

The fatal crash in Hesperia happened at around 5:30 a.m. on September 28, just south of Silverwood Street and Trout Street.

CHP Victorville said the crash involved a 2000 Ducati 750SS motorcycle and a 2013 Hyundai Elantra driven by a 23-year-old female driver from Fontana.

Reportedly, both vehicles were traveling southbound on Summit Valley Road and the driver of the Hyundai veered into the northbound lane, directly into the path of travel of the Ducati, while attempting to make a U-turn.

The rider then unable to avoid the collision and the bike collided with the left side of the Hyundai, ejecting the motorcyclist.

Medics transported the motorcyclist to Desert Valley Medical Center where he later died from his injuries.

The driver of the Hyundai Elantra remains uninjured.

Investigators said drugs and/or alcohol are not contributing factors to this crash.
