CHP Investigates Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Highway 99 in Salida

Salida, CA (March 29, 2022) – Tuesday morning, a 29-year-old male motorcyclist from Hughson, died in a crash on Highway 99 at Pelandale Avenue.

The fatal crash in Salida happened at around 7 a.m. on March 29.

CHP said a hatchback and a motorcycle crashed. The motorcyclist was ejected and hit by a big rig.

The man sustained fatal injuries and died at the crash scene.

Investigators said it doesn’t appear alcohol or drugs played a factor in the collision.

No other information is immediately available.
