Fatal Motorcycle Accident near Plum Canyon Road

 
SANTA CLARITA, CA (March 20, 2019) – One unidentified person died Thursday night, shortly after a motorcycle collision on Via Joyce Drive.
 
Officials received dispatch calls about the accident happened around 6:00 p.m. First responders arrived to the scene near Plum Canyon Road soon after.
 
According to reports, the unconscious motorcyclist was found in critical condition suffering from life-threatening injuries. The victim was eventually transported to a nearby hospital.
 
Due to the extent of the injuries, the victim was later pronounced dead in the hospital’s emergency room.
 
The surrounding area was blocked off for a short period of time while crews worked to cleanup and finalize preliminary duties. They have since been reopened.
 
No further details about how the incident transpired have been released. However, the accident is currently under investigation.
