Man Killed in Motorcycle-Truck Crash near Imboden Road
AURORA, CO (July 30, 2018) – A man was killed Monday afternoon after his motorcycle collided with a truck on East 48th Avenue near Front Range Airport.
As per reports, the incident took place shortly before 4 PM in the area of East 48th Avenue and Imboden Road. A westbound motorcyclist was stopped at a stop sign in an attempt to turn south onto Imboden. There, his motorcycle pulled into the path of a northbound truck, which was pulling a trailer.
The impact fatally injured the motorcyclist, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity and city of residence were not immediately available. Meanwhile, the truck driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the crash and identify possible contributing factors. Authorities also noted that the motorcyclist was wearing his helmet at the time of the collision. No further details have been provided to the public at this time.
