Motorcyclist Dies in DUI Crash on State Route 87 and North Skousen Road in Coolidge
Coolidge, AZ (March 20, 2022) – Saturday night, a motorcyclist died in a DUI crash on State Route 87 and North Skousen Road.
Subsequently, police arrested 35-year-old Christopher Proffer for DUI.
The fatal crash in Coolidge happened at around 11 p.m. on March 19.
PCSD said Proffer made an “abrupt and reckless” U-turn in the intersection, striking and killing a motorcyclist.
Proffer’s truck then careened off the road striking a large metal power pole which then caused the pole to fall into the roadway.
Moreover, police confirmed Proffer’s blood alcohol content to be .300+. The legal BAC limit in Arizona is .08%.
Proffer currently is booked into the Pinal County jail for second-degree murder.
