Police Investigate Fatal Crash on Flowing Wells Road in Tucson

Tucson, AZ (March 3, 2022) – Monday evening, a motorcyclist died in a crash on Flowing Wells Road.

The fatal crash in Tucson happened at around 7:14 p.m. on February 28.

Tucson Police said a white 2021 Chevrolet Silverado attempted to turn left from northbound Flowing Wells Road into a private drive. As the Silverado turned, the motorcyclist struck the Chevrolet Silverado.

EMS took the motorcyclist to Banner University Medical Center where he later died.

Witnesses said the motorcyclist was splitting lanes and accelerated above the posted speed limit before the incident. 

Moreover, the motorcyclist had a suspended driver’s license. 

He was in his 30s and was riding a white 2013 Kawasaki EX300 motorcycle with his helmet on at the time of the collision.

The DUI Unit also responded to the scene and determined that the driver of the Silverado was not impaired. She is in her 20s.

Further investigation is ongoing.
