1 Dead in Willits Motorcycle Accident on Main Street
WILLITS, CA (December 1, 2020) – On Sunday, a crash on Main Street killed a motorcyclist in Willits, California.
According to authorities, the incident occurred at around 2:00 p.m. in the 28th Annual Willits Toy Run. The event held a motorcycle parade through town.
Reports revealed that the motorcycle struck a truck getting ready to make a right turn into a motel. The motorcyclist hit the truck and then collided with a fire hydrant, a witness said.
“We were standing back in the NAPA parking lot when I heard a big bang. Looked over and saw the water shooting up…that must have been a fire hydrant so we walked over there. The semi was at an angle and the bike was laying there…I don’t think the guy made it.” another witness added.
Due to the limited information available, the authorities continue to investigate the fatal Willits crash.
