Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Highway 330 in San Bernardino
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (July 14, 2019) – A motorcyclist was killed after crashing into a guardrail Sunday afternoon in the San Bernardino Mountains above Highland.
According to reports, the crash took place a little after 12:00 p.m., on Highway 330. Dispatchers arrived just South of the City Creek Fire Station.
The rider reportedly struck the guardrail and a nearby car before they were ejected from the motorcycle onto the roadway. Responding firefighters administered aid at the scene before taking the rider to a local hospital for further treatment.
Sadly, the victim eventually succumbed to their injuries and was later pronounced dead at the hospital. However, their identity has not yet been released.
Furthermore, traffic in both directions was affected for the next three hours during cleanup. However, all lanes were later reopened just before 3:00 p.m.
An investigation is still currently ongoing to determine the cause of the crash and possible contributing factors.
