Fatal Afternoon Collision Between Motorcycle and Car on 28th Street
RIO LINDA, CA (July 9, 2019) – A motorcyclist was killed Tuesday afternoon following a car collision on 28th Street, near Elkhorn Boulevard.
The fatal collision happened around 2:38 p.m., at the intersection of 28th Street and Elkhorn Boulevard.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a gray Mazda 3 sedan collided with a motorcycle for unknown reasons. Sacramento firefighters responded and located the car pulled to the right shoulder. The rider suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
A coroner’s personnel was immediately notified to conduct a full report.
The identity of the victim has not yet been released pending family notification.
