Unidentified Motorcyclist Killed in Bakersfield Crash
BAKERSFIELD, CA (December 16,2018) – Sunday afternoon, a motorcyclist was struck and killed in the intersection of Brimhall Road and Calloway Drive. The man’s name has not been released pending notification of kin.
Bakersfield Police Officers responded to the scene at 1:42 PM, where they found the motorcyclist suffering from major injuries. Due to the impact of the collision, he was pronounced dead shortly after the accident.
Officials identified the other vehicle involved as a white Ford Fusion, whoes drivers identity is still unknown. Police determined the Ford was turning left onto Brimhall Road from Calloway Drive and failed to yield the right of way to the motorist. The driver is cooperating with police.
Drugs and alcohol were not considered factors in the crash following preliminary investigation. No more details surrounding the accident have been disclosed to the pubic.
