Motorcyclist Injured in Multi-Car Crash on Highway 74 [Lake Elsinore, CA]

Motorcyclist Hospitalized after Collision in Lake Elsinore

 
LAKE ELSINORE, CA (January 20, 2019) – On Sunday afternoon, a motorcyclist was injured in a multi-car crash on Highway 74. The identity of the victim has not yet been released to the public.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred around 2:16 PM just south of Tenaja Truck Trail.
 
As per reports, a witness claimed that a motorcycle struck an SUV head-on. Due to the impact, other vehicles, including another motorcycle were involved in the accident.
 
Riverside County Fire Department stated that one person was seriously injured and was airlifted to a nearby hospital. The victim’s current medical condition is unclear at this time. It is unknown if anyone else was injured.
 
The highway was closed off by Luce Oak Store Road for a brief time for cleanup and preliminary investigation, but has since reopened around 4:55 PM. No further details have been released regarding the circumstances leading up to the incident at this time.
