Sacramento Police Chase Results in Fatality
Sacramento, CA (November 6, 2023) – A male motorcycle rider was injured in an Interstate 80 fatal crash on Sunday noon.
It was about 12:20 p.m. when CHP officers and a canine unit were in a chase along eastbound Interstate 80.
However, the suspect driver collided with a motorcyclist.
Afterward, the suspect got out of the vehicle with a knife and the law enforcement started an open fire.
The deputies and CHP officers fired at the suspect.
The male suspect was transported to the hospital and was later declared dead.
Moreover, the male motorcyclist was also hospitalized in critical condition.
No officers sustained injuries in the incident.
The accident report stated that the shooting incident involved two CHP officers and a canine deputy.
