Motorcyclist Injured in FM 1788 Collision [Midland, TX]

Midland, TX (February 9, 2024) – A motorcycle rider was injured following an FM 1788 collision Thursday night.

The Midland Police Department officers responded at approximately 6:55 p.m. to the crash scene near Midland International Air and Space Port.

Investigating officers said a car was traveling south in the turning lane near Loop 40 west of the airport.

The car driver didn’t see a motorcycle traveling north in the outside lane of FM 1788. The car was trying to turn but struck the motorcycle.

Immediately, the rescuers rushed the rider to Midland Memorial Hospital with serious bodily injury.

The car driver was released pending investigation.
