San Gregorio Vehicle and Motorcycle Collision near Pomponio State Beach

 
SAN GREGORIO, CA (December 15, 2019) – A motorcyclist was injured in a crash on southbound Highway 1 Sunday afternoon, in San Gregorio.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened near Pomponio State Beach at approximately 1:00 PM.
 
Reports showed that the rider traveled at nearly 100 miles per hour, when a Lexus pulled out of the parking lot of Pomponio State Beach. The victim was able to jump from his bike before it collided with the Lexus.
 
The victim was airlifted to Stanford Medical Center. Fortunately, only minor injuries were reported. The driver of the Lexus was not injured.
 
The road closed while authorities cleaned up the debris.
 
An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the motorcycle accident. However, no further information is known at this time.
