Leg Injury Sustained in Motorcycle Collision near Dougherty Road
DUBLIN, CA (May 10, 2019) – A motorcycle rider was down in a crash on northbound 580 Freeway, Friday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 5:14 AM, just north of Dougherty Road. Based on an initial report, the victim’s black Honda motorcycle collided with a white Toyota Tacoma.
A Regional Detective at the scene advised that the rider was found conscious with a leg injury. The extent of the victim’s condition was not yet released.
According to a CHP news release, the HOV lane was closed while rescue, clearing, and cleaning operations took place in the area.
It’s still unknown if alcohol and/or drugs are a factor in the collision. Its cause remains unknown as of this time.
