1 Hurt in Hesperia Motorcycle Accident
HESPERIA, CA (April 10, 2019) – A 21-year-old motorcyclist suffered injuries in a collision with a car on April 8 in the city of Hesperia.
Authorities received reports of the crash around 3:40 p.m. on Amargosa Road and Keypoint Drive. Furthermore, the incident occurred just north of Main Street.
Upon the arrival of the emergency personnel, they found a burning motorcycle. Fortunately, Good Samaritans pulled out the rider who suffered injuries.
Meanwhile, reports revealed that an orange sedan tried to make a left turn when the collision happened.
“We were on our way to Target to return a coffee maker, we were making a left and all of a sudden, ‘BOOM,’ the airbags deployed and we had no idea what hit us,” the passenger of the vehicle said. “When I noticed it was a motorcycle, that became our biggest concern, making sure he was ok.”
Some witnesses revealed that the motorcyclist rode west on Amargosa Road. He tried to overtake other vehicles by riding into oncoming traffic. Unfortunately, he collided into the sedan’s driver side.
“A car was turning, making his turn and the bike wanted to go around him and ran right into the car, he was alert. He just wanted to get up, and they didn’t want him to get up,” witness Tanya Taylor said.
Weaving in and out of lanes is dangerous. Always stay at your lane and be aware of the presence of other motorists around you. Pay attention and consider small vehicles like motorcycles and bicycles because these are more prone to road accidents than bigger vehicles.
