1 Hurt in Fresno Motorcycle Crash on Highway 99 near Highway 180
FRESNO, CA (December 17, 2020) – Tuesday night, a motorcyclist suffered injuries in an accident on Highway 99 near Highway 180.
The authorities responded to a report of a rider being hit by a vehicle at about 6:00 p.m. The incident happened on Highway 99 near Highway 180.
According to officers, a woman drove a Cadillac. At the same time, a 35-year-old man rode his motorcycle turned right in the path of the passing vehicle. As a result, the rider crashed into the vehicle, said Sgt. James Del Carlo with the Fresno Area CHP.
Afterward, responders took the victim to Community Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. On the other hand, the female driver was uninjured.
Furthermore, the authorities do not believe that alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
When driving a motorcycle, it’s important to follow the posted speed limit and to yield to other drivers during uncertain driving situations.
We may not always know what other drivers are thinking. However, if we approach situations with care, we’ll have a likelier chance of averting a collision.
