Motorcycle and Sedan Crash on Highway 4
BAY POINT, CA (July 30, 2019) – A motorcyclist was down in a crash on westbound Highway 4 Tuesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place just east of Bailey Road at approximately 7:59 AM. Based on an initial report, a white pickup truck switched lane onto the direction of the motorcycle that was splitting lane at the time of the accident. The rider then avoided the truck and collided with an unknown sedan.
The paramedics were requested for needed medical attention. They had not yet released a report regarding the condition of the rider.
No. 1, 2, and 3 lanes were closed while rescue and clearing operations took place in the area.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
