Rider Dies after Crashing on Guardrail in San Diego
SAN DIEGO, CA (January 24, 2019) — A motorcycle rider was killed in a solo crash near the Clairemont area Monday night at around 10:50 p.m.
According to San Diego Police Officer John Buttle, the 29-year-old male casualty was seen riding his 2015 Suzuki motorcycle at a high speed while wèstbound on Balboa Avenue near Clairemont Drive. He then crashed on a curb and a guardrail before sliding to a stop in the left lane of Balboa Avenue. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the rider has not been disclosed. The crash remains under investigation.
