Fatal Motorcycle Crash Reported on 680 Freeway
SUNOL, CA (July 19, 2019) – A motorcyclist died in a crash on northbound 680 Freeway early Friday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place between Andrade Road and Calavera Road at approximately 6:00 PM. An initial report showed that the victim was splitting lanes and going between cars before their motorcycle slammed into a work truck.
The motorcyclist was declared dead at the scene. No information about the victim’s identity was released.
A Sig-alert was issued closing the two left lanes while clearing operations took place in the area.
An investigation is on-going to determine other details related to the fatal accident.
