Motorcycle-Car Collision in SR-161 Resulted in Fatality
Graham, WA (March 26, 2022) On Friday, a motorcycle rider died and another man is seriously hurt in a fatal traffic accident on Highway 161.
The Washington State Patrol (WSP) says 2 motorcycles and a car collided at around 10 p.m. at the 19600 block of the Meridian.
Reports say that the car was attempting to turn southbound onto the highway from 196th Street Court East when 2 motorcycles crashed into the vehicle.
The Graham Fire & Rescue closed the highway in both directions for about 3 hours.
Rescuers say that the 25-year-old rider sustained fatal injuries while the other 28-year-old man was in critical condition. Both men are from Puyallup.
Meanwhile, a 42-year-old Kirkland woman was driving the car, her condition is unknown.
Authorities are investigating the crash, noting that both riders wore helmets.
