ARLINGTON, WA (August 8, 2019) – A motorcyclist sustained critical injuries in a collision with an SUV on Highway 531 on August 7.
 
The police and medics came to the scene, on Highway 531 near 59th Avenue NE, at about 6:15 a.m. after receiving reports of a serious accident.
 
Responders located the motorcyclist with critical injuries and transported him to Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett.
 
According to the police, the motorcycle crashed with an SUV due to the foggy conditions. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the collision.
 
Authorities ruled out alcohol or drugs as a factor in the collision.
 
Meanwhile, the crash also shut down Highway 531. Authorities advised motorists to use alternate routes.
