63-Year-Old Woman Injured in Motorcycle Crash on Highway 34
CAMARILLO, CA (August 8, 2019) – A motorcycle rider was critical after a crash on Highway 34 on late Thursday afternoon.
The victim was identified as a 63-year-old woman riding a 2007 Harley-Davidson.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened just west of Pleasant Valley Road at approximately 4:55 PM. Based on an initial report, a 2015 Lexus RX350 was turning left into a driveway from westbound on Fifth Street. After that, the 48-year-old driver failed to notice a motorcycle heading eastbound. As a result, the motorcyclist crashed into the sport utility vehicle.
The victim suffered a brain bleed, a broken arm, leg, and pelvis and had an injury to her liver. As a result, paramedics sent the 63-year-old woman from Whittier to Los Robles Health System in Thousand Oaks.
Police did not release any other information at this time. However, an investigation continues.
