Dulzura, CA (May 18, 2020)– On Monday morning, a motorcyclist was airlifted after a crash on State Route 94 near Freezer Road.
The accident occurred around 11:20 a.m. on May 18, occurring on State Route 94 near Freezer Road. Dispatched officers arrived and found the injured motorcyclist on the scene.
According to California Highway reports, the motorcyclist sustained severe injuries, included a broken leg, and immediately airlifted to a local hospital for treatment. However, what leads to this accident and whether it involves another vehicle is still unspecified at this time.
The accident blocked both lanes of traffic on SR 94. The area was closed during cleanup and preliminary duties. However, the area has since reopened.
Moreover, officers have yet to disclose the victim’s identity. Further investigation is ongoing.
Motorcycle accidents are prone to be severe because riders lack stability as compared to cars. Moreover, a motorcyclist is vulnerable to road hazards, weather conditions, and is less visible to other drivers. If you see yourself unfit to drive at the moment, use a rideshare app instead.
