Man Injured After Motorcycle Collides with Bus on Brookhurst Street in Fountain Valley
FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CA (September 10, 2019) – A motorcyclist suffered critical injuries after a collision with a bus on Brookhurst Street Tuesday morning.
The police said the accident occurred at around 11 a.m. Involved were a 2016 Yamaha Bolt motorcycle and an Orange County Transportation Authority bus.
The Yamaha was southbound on Brookhurst Street when it rear-ended the bus stopped near the intersection of La Alameda Avenue.
The adult male rider sustained critical injuries as a result. First responders transported him to UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange. He remains in critical but stable condition as of Friday as per the authorities.
In addition, no one on the bus had injuries due to the crash.
The police closed the intersection of Brookhurst Street and La Alameda Avenue for hours as they investigated. However, they did not suspect that drugs and alcohol were factors in the accident. Any witnesses can call the Fountain Valley police at (714) 593-4481.
