Christopher Carnel Killed Oxnard Auto Accident on Hueneme Road
OXNARD, CA (October 5, 2020) – Sunday afternoon, 57-year-old Christopher Carnel after a fiery motorcycle crash on Hueneme Road outside Oxnard.
The crash between a car and a motorcycle happened at about 2:10 p.m. on Hueneme Road, east of Edison Drive.
Oxnard Fire Battalion Chief Steve Reyes revealed that the motorcycle crashed into a fruit stand after the crash with the car. Furthermore, he added that the open-air fruit stand is made of canopy-style tents on the side of the road with fruit stacked up.
After the motorcycle crashed on the stand, the bike caught fire. Fortunately, people in the area managed to put off the flame before the firefighters arrive. Furthermore, the blaze also damaged a tent and some produce.
Meanwhile, responders transported the motorcycle rider to Ventura County Medical Center in critical condition. Furthermore, another person suffered minor injuries at the scene. However, the second patient didn’t require hospitalization.
According to reports, the involved vehicle was a Nissan Versa that had major front-end damage.
The CHP continues to investigate the crash on Hueneme Road.
When driving a motorcycle, it’s important to follow the posted speed limit and to yield to other drivers during uncertain driving situations.
We may not always know what other drivers are thinking. However, if we approach situations with care, we’ll have a likelier chance of averting a collision.
We at Sweet Lawyers send our prayers to the family and friends of Christopher Carnel.
