Motorcyclist and Children Injured in Bobier Drive Traffic Crash [Vista, CA]

Vista, CA (June 25, 2022) – On Thursday night, a motorcycle rider and two children sustained injuries in a Bobier Drive traffic crash.

The traffic collision took place minutes before 9 p.m. near East Vista Way.

According to the investigators, a westbound sedan driven by a 31-year-old male driver made a left out of a grocery store parking lot. The vehicle pulled in front of an eastbound motorcycle.

The motorcycle broadsided the sedan and its rider was thrown from the bike.

Reports say that the sedan driver took off and parked the vehicle on a residential street approximately a mile away. 

After more than 90 minutes, the driver called 911 to report the incident. 

Immediately, the paramedics and the authorities arrived at the scene. They located the driver, his wife, and their three children, ages 2, 6, and 8 inside the car. 

The paramedics rushed the rider to a hospital with serious injuries. Similarly, the rescuers also took the two to Rady Children’s Hospital for injury treatment.

Moreover, the authorities arrested the driver on suspicion of hit-and-run causing injury, willful child neglect, and driving without a driver’s license.

Investigators say neither alcohol nor drugs played a role in the hit-and-run crash near East Vista Way.
