1 Dead in Lake Elsinore Motorcycle Crash on Avenue 6
LAKE ELSINORE, CA (October 23, 2020) – Thursday afternoon, a motorcyclist died in an accident on Avenue 6 and Bancroft Way.
The deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department and Lake Elsinore Station responded around 2:22 p.m. The two-vehicle accident happened on Avenue 6, north of Bancroft Way.
When the deputies arrived, they found the motorcyclist with life-threatening injuries. Thus, responders took him to Inland Valley Medical Center. Unfortunately, he later died because of his injuries.
Meanwhile, the preliminary investigation revealed that the male motorcyclist rode a 2005 Harley Davidson southbound on Avenue 6. Furthermore, the authorities confirmed that he traveled at a high rate of speed.
Soon after, the rider lost control of his motorcycle and went into oncoming traffic. Then, he crashed with a northbound vehicle on Avenue 6.
As of this time, the authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
Furthermore, the coroner’s office is withholding the identity of the rider due to pending family notification.
