Lanes Closed after Motorcycle Collision near Stone Valley Road
ALAMO, CA (April 16, 2019) – A motorcycle rider was down in a crash on southbound 680 Freeway, Tuesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 5:25 AM, just north of Stone Valley Road. Based on an initial report, the victim was found lying on the ground with his sports bike. A Honda CRV was found at the scene. A third vehicle was also involved but left the scene after the accident.
The rider was not moving when the paramedics arrived. They had not yet released a report regarding any injuries sustained by the victim.
A SigAlert was issued closing all lanes while clearing and cleaning operations took place in the area. It was not yet known if excessive speed is considered a factor in the crash. No further details have been released, as the incident is still under investigation by authorities.
