Motorcycle Hits Light Pole on 91 Freeway in Corona, Major Injuries Sustained
CORONA, CA (May 24, 2019) – A motorcycle passenger was seriously injured following a traffic collision Friday in Corona.
The collision took place on eastbound 91 Freeway at McKinley Street.
According to reports, a 46-year-old man was riding his motorcycle with one passenger heading eastbound on 91 Freeway. When the rider approached the freeway exit, he was unable to complete a left turn onto northbound McKinley Street and struck a light pole in front of Shell gas station.
Arriving paramedics took the female passenger to a hospital with significant trauma. The rider was also hospitalized with minor injuries.
Authorities closed one northbound McKinley lanes from Sampson Avenue and the eastbound 91 Freeway onramp at McKinley Street.
Further investigation of this incident is underway.
