Avoid assumptions. Never assume that just because you follow the traffic rules and drive safely, other drivers will do the same. Watch for other drivers’ erratic behavior or poor driving habits. Always practice defensive driving to avoid an incident.
Always Be a Defensive Driver
According to the United States Department of Transportation, there are approximately 300,000 merging accidents every year. It is therefore important to follow all the traffic laws to avoid these types of accidents.
The most valuable step you can take in response to a vehicle crash is hiring a personal injury attorney. Mark Sweet, a personal injury attorney at Sweet Lawyers, says that serious car accident cases may call for a separate investigation spearheaded by an experienced lawyer fighting on behalf of a party.
