Horrific Motorcycle Crash on Highway 530 Injures 47-Year-Old Passenger [Darrington, WA]

Darrington, WA (July 31, 2023) On Sunday afternoon, a 39-year-old Oak Harbor man and a 47-year-old Fallon woman were hurt after a motorcycle crash on Highway 530.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the suspected DUI accident happened at about 4:25 p.m. along Highway 530 west of Darrington.

Reports say that both man and woman were on a westbound Harley-Davidson that veered off the road to the right and crashed. Both the male driver and female passenger were thrown off the bike.

Fortunately, both were wearing helmets at the time of the crash, medics transported them to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.

WSP is investigating the suspected DUI accident, officials say that alcohol or drugs may have been factors in the crash.
