Motorcycle Catches Fire in Crash on 105 Freeway [Downey, CA]

Fiery Motorcycle Collision near Lakewood Boulevard

 
DOWNEY, CA (November 25, 2019) – A motorcycle caught fire in a crash on 105 Freeway westbound on Monday afternoon.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened just east of Avenue 52 at approximately 2:53 PM.
 
Reports showed that the motorcycle became engulfed in flames after it collided with a sedan.
 
Passing motorists rescued the rider who had trouble breathing during the incident. The victim’s condition was not yet known.
 
The HOV and No. 1 lanes were closed while firefighters worked to put the fire out. A clearing operation was also conducted in the area.
 
The cause of the crash is unknown at this time. No other information has been disclosed.
