1 Dead in Redlands Motorcycle Accident on Orange Street
REDLANDS, CA (April 15, 2020) – Last Saturday afternoon, a 26-year-old man died in a motorcycle accident on Orange Street.
According to police reports, the April 11 incident happened at around 5:00 p.m. on the southbound lanes of Orange Street near the Santa Ana River.
The authorities revealed that a Redlands’ male resident rode a 2009 Kawasaki motorcycle.
However, as he attempted to pass a southbound vehicle, he crossed the double-yellow line and crashed with another car heading north.
The incident also involved a southbound vehicle.
As a result of the crash, the motorcycle rider succumbed to his injuries at the scene. His identity remains undisclosed due to pending family notification.
Meanwhile, one of the drivers sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital.
The incident also led authorities to shut down Orange Street for around six hours while crews investigate at the scene.
The collision remains under active investigation.
