Deceased Body Discovered on Highway 62 in Morongo Valley

MORONGO VALLEY, CA (November 29, 2018) – Authorities are investigating after a body was found Thursday morning in Morongo Valley.

Around 10:31 a.m., CHP responded to a call in the area of Highway 62 at Senilis Avenue. They found the body lying at least 10 feet off the roadway.

Cal Fire was dispatched to the scene and confirmed the fatality. The identity of the deceased was not immediately available.

A vehicle was also found in the area but was not related to the incident, according to the CHP.

Details are sparse on who was involved and what exactly transpired. Authorities are looking further into the incident.
