Moriah Schaffer Injured, Sean Holiday Charged in Interstate 5 DUI Collision
Ridgefield, CA (December 01, 2021) – On Monday, 33-year-old Moriah Schaffer of Vancouver suffered injuries, while officers charged 42-year-old Sean Holiday of Longview, in a DUI crash on Interstate 5.
It was about 11 p.m. when a 2004 Volkswagen Jetta driven by Holiday passed a tractor-trailer near Milepost 15. Then, the vehicle crossed all the freeway lanes driving into the median.
The vehicle struck a deer and tree in the median before it rolled and finally rested on its wheels.
Right away, the responding officers rushed Holiday and Schaffer to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, the State Patrol.
Schaffer sustained critical injuries, and Holiday’s incurred serious injuries.
Moreover, the officers charged Holiday with vehicular assault and driving with a suspended or revoked license.
The authorities believe alcohol or drugs factors in this collision and that Schaffer was not wearing a seat belt. They did not know if Holiday was wearing a seat belt during the crash.
