Man Injured in Berkeley Moped Crash at Shattuck Avenue and Cedar Street
BERKELEY, CA (October 31, 2019) — A man suffered injuries in a crash at Shattuck Avenue and Cedar Street Tuesday night.
Fire officials said they received a report about the incident at around 7:05 p.m. A man believed to be in his 30s or 40s was riding a moped when he collided with a vehicle.
The Berkeley fire crew took the rider to Highland Hospital with major injuries. Reports indicated that he bled at the scene and was unconscious. However, the officials confirmed early Wednesday that he was in stable condition.
Meantime, the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene after the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
