Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Grubbs Road in Oroville
OROVILLE, CA (May 31, 2019) – A moped driver was killed following a traffic collision Friday evening in Oroville, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 8:49 p.m. at 3435 Grubbs Road near Lagrone Drive.
CHP officials responded to a report of a vehicle that had struck a moped. Upon arrival, they located the vehicle fully engulfed in flames with two broken tires.
The moped driver suffered serious injuries as a result of the crash. Despite life-saving efforts, the victim did not survive and was declared dead.
The roadway was blocked in both directions while officials worked on the scene.
