MONTEREY, CA – Motorist Killed in Rollover Crash on Highway 1

Late Evening Rollover Crash on Highway 1 in Monterey Ends in Fatality

 
MONTEREY, CA (February 1, 2019) – A motorist was killed following a rollover crash late Friday evening in Monterey, CHP officials said.
 
The fatal crash happened around 11:07 p.m. on Highway 1.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Honda car overturned and landed on its side. An ambulance unit arrived on the scene and found the driver unresponsive.
 
Life-saving efforts were performed, but the patient did not survive and was pronounced dead. A coroner was immediately notified to pick up the victim’s remains.
 
The highway was shutdown while crews removed the overturned vehicle and debris that was strewn in lanes.
 
No identifying information is being is being released at this time. This incident is still under investigation.
