Monica Ruiz Hospitalized After Kern DUI Crash
Kern, CA (October 22, 2020) – On Friday, 41-year-old Monica Ruiz of Arroyo Grande was injured in a DUI crash on Ash Street.
The accident took place at about 11:30 p.m. on Highway 119.
The California Highway Patrol said 22-year-old Javier Ortiz was driving eastbound on Ash Street. Apparently, he failed to stop at the stop sign at Highway 119.
As a result, Ortiz’ 2008 Saturn crashed with a 2020 Audi driven by Ruiz.
Moreover, both Ortiz and Ruiz suffered minor injuries.
The rescuers took them to Kern Medical for treatment.
The authorities booked Ortiz into the Kern County Jail on suspicion of felony DUI and felony hit and run.
Scan the road 1/2 mile to a full mile ahead in order to look out or recognize potential hazards in time. Our bodies weren’t designed to travel at 50mph. We were designed for speeds of less than 10mph, thus you need to learn to consciously break that natural instinct and focus farther ahead.
What to Do in Case of Crash Injuries
Each year, approximately 20-50 million people suffer injuries or disabilities due to a vehicle crash. Unfortunately, not everyone has proper information about the things you should do next after an injury crash.
The most valuable step you can take in response to a vehicle crash is hiring a personal injury attorney. Moreover, personal injury attorneys prioritize your recovery while securing your future from further losses a severe accident can bring.
“A common misconception is that personal injury lawyers don’t care. That is simply not true. Injury lawyers care about and want justice for their clients. We are driven by the desire to make our clients whole again,” says Steve Baric of Sweet Lawyers, an attorney practicing for over 40 years.
