Monica Heckel Dies in DUI Crash on Butler Avenue in Flagstaff
Flagstaff, AZ (February 5, 2022) – Friday night, 25-year-old Monica Heckel of Phoenix died and three other passengers sustained injuries in a crash on Butler Avenue.
On Saturday, police arrested 37-year-old Joshua Ferrante for suspicion of driving under the influence.
The fatal DUI crash in Flagstaff happened at around 10 p.m. on February 4 near Fourth Street.
Flagstaff Police said Ferrante crossed the center line and crashed into the second vehicle.
Heckel, the passenger of the second vehicle, died from her injuries. Three more passengers sustained injuries and are now in stable condition.
No other information is immediately available.
