Four People Hospitalized after Solo Vehicle Crash on Highway 50 in Redwood City
Redwood City, CA (January 20, 2022) – Saturday evening, four people sustained injuries in a solo vehicle crash on Highway 50.
Moreover, the solo vehicle crash in Redwood City happened just after 6 p.m. on January 29.
CHP said a 2005 Toyota Tacoma driven by 28-year-old Jairon Ixcoygomez crashed, rolled over, and came to a rest in the highway’s center divider.
The involved people identified as 19-year-old Monica Guzman and 2-year-old Jacob Ixcoygomez were severely injured while Felicitas Guzman, 22, and Leyla Guzman, 1, suffered minor injuries.
EMS then took them for treatment at UC Davis Medical Center, with one adult female patient requiring an air ambulance.
CHP investigators said alcohol might be a factor in the rollover crash.
Further investigation is ongoing.
