Avelino Araiza Involved, Denair Man Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash East of Waring Road
Stanislaus County, CA (September 10, 2022) – On Thursday, Monica Acevedo, 47, of Hughson, sustained injuries, while a 21-year-old Denair man died in a Whitmore Avenue crash.
It was about 3 p.m. when the multi-vehicle crash east of Waring Road took place.
According to the authorities who responded to the scene, a 2014 Nissan driven by the Denair man on Whitmore Avenue swerved into the westbound lane into the path of a 2006 Ford driven by 47-year-old Avelino Araiza of La Grange.
The Nissan’s left front struck the Ford’s left front. As a result, the Nissan spanned into the path of a Toyota that was traveling behind the Ford. The Toyota’s front then hit the right side of the Nissan.
Sadly, the unidentified Nissan driver died at the crash scene. Officers say the deceased driver was not wearing his seatbelt when the collision took place.
The Toyota driver, Monica Acevedo, sustained injuries and was transported by ambulance to Doctors Medical Center.
On the other hand, Avelino Araiza was not hurt in the collision.
In the meantime, officers did not say if drugs or alcohol were involved as they are still investigating the multi-vehicle crash east of Waring Road.
The authorities say Acevedo and Araiza were properly restrained at the time of the accident.
