Molly Collins Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash on Highway 12 [VALLEY SPRINGS, CA]

4-Year-Old Child Hospitalized in Deadly Crash on Highway 12 at Burson Road

 
VALLEY SPRINGS, CA (October 4, 2019) – A woman died following a two-vehicle crash Friday morning in Valley Springs, authorities said.
 
The crash happened around 9:03 a.m. on Highway 12 at Burson Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, an Acura sedan, driven by a 35-year-old Molly Collins, was turning from a private driveway when it was hit by a Ford pickup truck.
 
As a result, Collins died at the scene. Her 4-year-old passenger was rushed by paramedics to UC Davis Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the Ford, 47-year-old Mitchell McGee of Valley Springs, escaped injury.
 
Police are still investigating the cause of the crash and more information will be provided when accessible.
